Natural remedies for viruses and staph infections

Natural remedies for viruses in the body, particularly staph infections: the professor's guidance, complemented by what the research says (essential oils, honey), the precautions to know, and our resources to go further.

First of all, hijama (cupping) is the first thing to do. You should turn to a competent practitioner who is well acquainted with the condition in question.

Second, Manuka honey will be very effective. It should be taken orally twice a day or applied to the painful, infected area. With this honey, you can add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, since it fights bacteria and boosts the immune system.

For staphylococcus, you can use a cream with tea tree essential oil in the morning, which can be mixed with eucalyptus essential oil.

There is also an effective Chinese mushroom against skin problems and infection called shiitake.

To purify the blood, it is good to drink beet, carrot, and orange juice three times a day with a small teaspoon of black seed (Nigella sativa) and a tablespoon of honey.

If you want to speed up healing, you can use up to three cloves of garlic in the juices, since garlic is a natural antibiotic.

What the science says: essential oils, honey

Here is what published research says about the remedies mentioned above, for informational purposes — the studies address material causes, but healing belongs to Allah.

Essential oils

Tea tree essential oil has documented effectiveness on acne (Antioxidants, 2023), peppermint oil on irritable bowel syndrome (Aliment Pharmacol Ther, 2022), lavender and others on anxiety (Pharmacol Res, 2022) — but these are powerful concentrates. Precaution: always dilute on the skin, never use in the eyes or undiluted by mouth without advice; several of them are prohibited for pregnant women (unless advised otherwise), children under 3 (6 for peppermint), and those with asthma or epilepsy.

Honey

"There is a healing for people in honey": research confirms several of its uses. The Cochrane review concludes that honey relieves acute cough in children better than no treatment and at least as well as some syrups (Cochrane, 2018) (Eur J Pediatr, 2023). On the skin, honey dressings speed up healing and reduce wound infections (Nutrients, 2024), including burns (N Z Med J, 2009). Precaution: never give honey before the age of one (risk of infant botulism); choose raw, unheated honey from a reliable source.
