Cirrhosis is caused by damage to the liver cells. Treating it requires a liver detox, using plants rich in vitamin C such as milk thistle, chrysanthellum, or turmeric, which is the most commonly used remedy for cirrhosis.
Turmeric can be used as a powder, in capsules, or as an essential oil for massages over the liver.
Sea buckthorn juice provides an intake of vitamins A and B.
Rosemary can also be used in the morning, as an infusion combined with chrysanthellum, taking care not to use it after 4 p.m.
In addition, it will be essential to review one's diet, particularly by avoiding fried foods and favoring vegetables such as artichokes, carrots, sweet potato, or chicory in salad. Olive oil will also be a good ally.
Beets and pineapple or apple juices will also be effective.
To fight fatigue, ginseng should be used in a low dose, that is, 1 capsule in the morning.
Finally, do not forget honey, which should be used in the morning combined with black seed at a rate of one tablespoon, as well as in the evening before sleeping. Be sure that the honey is pure.
What the science says: the liver
What published research says about the remedies mentioned above, for context—the studies address material causes, but healing belongs to Allah.
The liver
Silymarin from milk thistle improves liver markers in fatty liver disease and various liver conditions according to meta-analyses (Ann Hepatol, 2024) (World J Gastroenterol, 2017); the Mediterranean diet (olive oil, vegetables, fish) reduces liver fat (Clin Nutr, 2022). Artichoke, black radish, rosemary and dandelion are the traditional detoxifiers; fasting gives the liver a rest. Precaution: viral hepatitis or cirrhosis should be followed with a specialist; some plants are hepatotoxic (comfrey, greater celandine, kava)—do not experiment on your own.
