Cade oil is excellent for helping the skin heal. However, it is recommended to blend it, especially when it is concentrated, with a plant-based carrier oil such as olive oil or sweet almond oil. In addition, it is important to make sure of the oil's quality, since much of what is found on the market is of poor quality.
Furthermore, cade oil can now be found in creams or ointments, which is also very practical for applying to the skin to help it heal.
What the science says: essential oils, natural skin care
What published research says about the remedies mentioned above, for the sake of context—these studies address material causes, while healing belongs to Allah.
Essential oils
Tea tree essential oil has documented efficacy for acne (Antioxidants, 2023), peppermint oil for irritable bowel syndrome (Aliment Pharmacol Ther, 2022), lavender and others for anxiety (Pharmacol Res, 2022)—but these are powerful concentrates. Precaution: always dilute before applying to the skin, never use in the eyes or undiluted by mouth without advice; several of them are forbidden for pregnant women (unless advised otherwise), children under 3 (6 for peppermint), asthmatics, and people with epilepsy.
Natural skin care
Aloe vera promotes healing and soothes the skin according to a review of clinical trials (Iran J Med Sci, 2019) (Plast Reconstr Surg, 2018); for eczema, daily moisturizing with emollients is the foundation of treatment (Int J Dermatol, 2025) and the skin microbiome plays a central role (J Eur Acad Dermatol Venereol, 2023). Olive oil, black seed oil, honey, and shea butter are the emollients of tradition. Precaution: test any new product on a small area for 24 hours; a lesion that spreads, oozes, or becomes infected calls for a doctor.
