A mono-diet consists of eating only one food during a specific period. It is a form of detox, and it is essential to choose a food rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, and carotene. Apple, grapes, carrot, celery, or even rice will all be quite suitable.
For three days of mono-diet, for example, one would start by drinking an herbal tea along with one to three apples upon waking; at noon it would also be herbal tea and apple, just as in the evening at dinner.
The mono-diet has advantages but also drawbacks. Indeed, its protein intake is low, and the feeling of hunger can be hard to manage, particularly given our modern lifestyle. This is why it should not become a habit, but rather be done every three months to begin with.
