Treating baldness

Treating baldness: the advice of Professor Akim Bouterra, complemented by what research says (hair and hair loss), the precautions to know, and our resources to go further.

To treat total or partial baldness, mix a spoonful of crushed black seed, a coffee cup of diluted apple cider vinegar, and a teaspoon of garlic juice.

Then apply this mixture to the affected area after removing the hair and scratching the diseased area. Next, cover it with a compress and leave it on from morning until evening.

Finally, massage the area with black seed oil.

What the science says: hair and hair loss

Here is what published research says about the remedies mentioned above, offered for context — these studies address material causes, while healing belongs to Allah.

Hair and hair loss

Natural topical remedies for hair loss have been reviewed — rosemary oil, caffeine, and scalp massage with vegetable oils are among the most studied (Int J Trichology, 2025); a global review catalogs the plants used by menopausal women (Front Pharmacol, 2025). Iron, zinc, protein, and vitamin D should be checked in cases of significant hair loss. Precaution: sudden hair loss or loss in patches requires a medical workup (thyroid, iron, deficiencies); results from natural care take 3 to 6 months.
